Banje Beach

he most famous beach in Dubrovnik is definitely the Banje Beach. It is perfectly located right next to the historical old town and while swimming in the clear sea you can enjoy an unbelievably beautiful scenery with a view of the city walls, the old harbor and the island Lokrum. The sea here is turquoise blue and provides a spectacular contrast to the red roofs of the city center.

Sunset Beach

Very popular for a holiday is the Sunset Beach in Dubrovnik, also known as Uvala Lapad Beach. It is located on the Lapad peninsula, the tourist center of the city. The beach is situated in a long-drawn-out bay, where you will find many more great bathing possibilities. There is also a nice promenade, lots of restaurants and cafes, and many beach activities like Jet Ski, SUP and a Water Park. The scenery is also fantastic during sunset, which is the reason why this beautiful bay is called Sunset Beach.

Beach Sveti Jakov

Absolutely unique in Dubrovnik is the Plaza Sveti Jakov Beach, which has already been chosen by several magazines as one of the most beautiful beaches in Croatia. It is an absolute dream beach surrounded by spectacular rocks and with a beautiful view of the city of Dubrovnik. Swimming in the crystal clear sea, you will enjoy fantastic turquoise colors and top water quality. You can get down to the beach via steps, wherefrom you have a wonderful view of the beach and the light blue sea. Downstairs there is an inviting beach bar and a nice restaurant. Umbrellas and sun beds can also be rented on site.

Betina Cave Beach

A real insider tip among the hidden beaches of Dubrovnik is the Betina Cave Beach. This beach jewel is located a little north from the old town and can only be reached via a sea route, i.e. by kayak or boat. When you arrive for the first time, you will be amazed by the unique beach scenery: A beautiful natural bay located in a rock cave. The sea here shines in the most beautiful colors and thanks to the natural environment you can enjoy snorkeling and discover an interesting underwater world! Betina Cave Beach is a rather rocky beach, where bathing shoes are a definite advantage. There are neither restaurants nor bars, so you should definitely bring your own food.

Old Town Beaches (Bard Mala Buza & Buza Beach)

Also in the old town, along the huge walls, a few small beaches were created. These bathing places are rocky stone beaches, where ladders or stone stairs lead into the sea. These beaches are especially popular with couples who enjoy the wild and romantic atmosphere at the beach bars. Due to the high rocks, these beaches are also very suitable for cliff jumping. The two most beautiful beaches in the old town of Dubrovnik are certainly the famous Buza Beach and the almost even more beautiful Bard Mala Buza. On both beaches there is a beach bar where you can also rent sunbeds.

Sulic Beach

he small beach Sulic is located in Pile, very close to the old town and is another top beach on the list of the best beaches in Dubrovnik. This little jewel is picturesquely situated beneath the Lovrejenac fortress and so you can enjoy a wonderful view of the historic castle while swimming. Thanks to its hidden location, the Sulic beach is never overcrowded, which guarantees a pleasant swimming adventure. On site you can rent kayaks and paddle along the coast around Dubrovnik. A really great way to discover even more bays and beaches. Just above the beach there is a very nice beach bar and a cozy restaurant with a wonderful view.
